Bahnhofstrasse, Zermatt
A herd of about 40 blackneck goats passes through the Bahnhofstrasse each morning and evening.
For seven weeks in the summer, a herd of about 70 blackneck goats passes through the Bahnhofstrasse in Zermatt each morning and evening. This is the so-called «Goats’ Tour». Hundreds of guests stand in rows to see and photograph these black and white goats. Be ready to take a picture of the most photographed goats in the world.
At about 9.00 a.m. and at about 4.30 p.m.
In case of major events in the village, the herd will be guided along the river Vispa (Bachstrasse).
Would you like to know more about these goats? Where they come from and where they spend the summer when they’re not parading down Bahnhofstrasse? You can find out all this and more with this glimpse behind the scenes. Registrations can be made until 16:30 the evening before. The offer can be booked from the beginning of summer 2024.
