The world's top producers are coming to Morgins!

From 24 to 26 October 2025, the Dents du Midi region will be hosting a totally new event in the village of Morgins: the Raclette World Championships. This competition will showcase local, neighbouring and foreign producers, much to the delight of fans of this emblematic dish!

The Vallée d'Illiez has already been a pioneer in promoting its pastoral activities, notably with La Cavagne and its automated maturing cellar, but it's now aiming to export its terroir further afield! As its name suggests, the Raclette World Championships will see producers from here and abroad go head-to-head. The organising committee, made up of professional volunteers, is inviting several countries to come together for a weekend in the heart of the Portes du Soleil to celebrate the love of raclette.

Throughout the weekend, a raclette village will be set up at the Salle de la Jeur in Morgins, with a host of mountain pasture stands. So the World Championships won't just be a cheese competition, but also a weekend of festivities and conviviality around this emblematic Valais dish!
