As part of this evolution, the center of Töss has shifted several times, transforming the character of the town.  Let our costumed tour guides take you on a journey through time: Discover how Töss Monastery became the setting for a romantic drama, what impact industrialization had on the village community, and how the district transformed into a modern mini-city with the construction of “Zentrum Töss” in 1970.  Among others, you’ll meet the nun Ita von Wetzikon, the reform-minded Social Democrats Marie Huber and Anna Jud, the “Schnupftrucke” innkeeper Maria Schneider, and other fascinating figures whose stories contribute to the legend of Töss.
