WORK: On Wanting, Being Allowed and Having To

Vögele Kulturzentrum, Pfäffikon SZ

The multimedia exhibition offers an in-depth exploration through interactive installations, personal stories, and academic contributions.

A key to happiness or just a means to an end? Work can provide meaning and security—but also pressure and exhaustion. But what happens when it takes more than it gives? And what challenges and opportunities does the future of work hold?

In a constantly changing world of work, people are increasingly confronted with questions about work-life balance and personal fulfilment. New approaches are needed—ones that help us experience work not only as a duty but as something enriching.

The multimedia exhibition “WORK: On Wanting, Being Allowed and Having To” explores the many dimensions of gainful employment. It presents diverse perspectives—from historical developments to current issues and future visions. Visitors are invited to engage deeply with the topic through interactive installations, personal stories and academic insights.
