An extraordinary journey through the canton of Basel-City. Discover new sides of Switzerland's smallest canton. This unique night hike takes you across the entire canton of Basel-City, from the westernmost tip in Allschwil to almost the easternmost point in Riehen. A journey along the Dorenbach, through urban neighbourhoods, the  jungle of Basel Zoo, the old town, across the Rhine and along the Birs river to an evening barbecue in the forests of Riehen. Step into another world, where the night sky weaves its very own magic.

Whether you're a night owl or an early riser: this relaxed tour is open to everyone aged 18 and over who wants to experience Basel from a completely different angle. Zoo bypass route available.

Firewood for the barbecue will be provided.
Return to central Basel by tram from Riehen.

What to bring:
• Sturdy footwear
• Rain jacket
• At least 1 litre of drinking water
• Snacks and food for the route
• Something to grill
• Money for the zoo entrance fee and the tram back (optional)
• Headlamp
