What happens when colour becomes emotion and light becomes language?
At the artist talk on Thursday, 5 June 2025, Sabeth Holland and Sonja Schmid will offer insights into their artistic processes, thoughts and materials. Starting at 6:45 pm, a lively exchange will unfold at the Lakeside Gallery Zug – about the visible and the invisible, about what shines in the exhibition Voci Luminose – both loud and quiet.

The exhibition brings together two artistic positions from Eastern Switzerland, each radiating in her own way.
Sabeth Holland, from St. Gallen, is known for her colour-intense, rhythmically composed image worlds. Her works pulse with joy, imagination and inner movement – powerful colour spaces that unfold between emotion and dream.

Sonja Schmid, from Thurgau, works with transparency, light and the poetry of material. Her delicate installations made from fluorescent plexiglass are reduced yet intense – lines, surfaces and reflections weave into silent, moving spaces.

In Voci Luminose, expressive colour explosions meet composed clarity. Two voices in contrast and harmony – united by a shared language of light, line and colour.
