The Blaskapelle Dorfmusikanten Horw, founded in 1993, plays Bohemian-Moravian brass music, Swiss works and solos for various brass and woodwind instruments.

The Dorfmusikanten Horw brass band was founded in spring 1993 by musicians who were enthusiastic about the original Bohemian-Moravian style of brass music. The formation consists of 2 female musicians and 16 male musicians. The repertoire includes traditional Bohemian-Moravian brass music as well as works by well-known Swiss composers. Solos for tenor horns, bass, trumpet, flugelhorn, trombones and clarinets are also performed.
