The Christmas holidays are fast approaching, and Chiasso celebrates them every year with a rich program of events and entertainment.

DECEMBER 8TH EVENTS: FROM THE SCM MARKET TO THE LIGHTING OF THE TREE.

Alongside various events scheduled from November 30th, the ever-popular Immaculate Conception Market, December 8th, hosted by the Mendrisiotto Traders' Association in collaboration with the Chiasso Municipality, has been confirmed. From 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Corso San Gottardo will be bustling with exhibitors and street vendors selling artisanal products and food and wine specialties; over 100 stalls are expected.

Christmas shopping, also encouraged by the shops in the centre that have decided to open for the occasion, is combined with various moments of entertainment:

- Giocanatale with inflatables, face painting and games for the little ones (Corso San Gottardo)
- Natale in musica: performance by the students of the Incantando Music School (10.00-18.00, Corso San Gottardo)
- Christmas-Lab: creative activities for children with Tata Creativa (from 10.30, Chalet piazza Indipendenza)
- Santa Claus Momò Bikers: the Santa Clauses arrive riding their Harley Davidsons (11.00, Corso San Gottardo)
- L'Atelier di Espressivamente: for children and adults, by Alessia Sgariglia (from 14.00, Chalet piazza Indipendenza)
- Racconti e biscotti: reading of Christmas stories and free snack (15.30, Libreria S. Vitale)
- San Nicolao del Rione Cucù arrives, who will bring a thoughts for all children (4:30 pm, along Corso San Gottardo)

LIGHTING OF THE TREE and greeting from the Authorities (5:30 pm, Piazza Col C. Bernasconi) followed by the Christmas Jazz concert CHRISTMAS MARKETS The stalls will liven up Corso San Gottardo also on Saturday 13th, Sunday 14th, Saturday 20th, Sunday 21st December, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Special events are combined with the markets.

EVENTS FOR ALL TASTES, OPPORTUNITIES TO GET TOGETHER In addition to the traditional suspended lighting along the town's main road, the pedestrian area inCorso San Gottardo will be decorated with a series of light panels made by elementary school children, representing an imaginative Advent calendar. Among the CHRISTMAS IN CHIASSO gathering places, the Ice Stadium in Via 1. Agosto is confirmed, decorated in a Christmas theme. The Chiasso Cultural Center invites the public, friends, and enthusiasts to various seasonal events. The Advent Exhibition is also returning, featuring a selected Christmas-themed work available for free viewing in the museum's atrium during the holidays.

CHRISTMAS IN CHIASSO will conclude at the Cinema Teatro on Sunday, January 11th: at 10:30 a.m., the municipal authorities invite the public to the Christmas Ceremony, featuring the presentation of sporting merit awards and a salute to eighteen-year-olds.
