Your wine experience starts at the Hotel Restaurant Seehof in Walenstadt. Here you will receive your backpack with everything you need. The route takes you through a varied landscape: lakeside paths, sparse forests and viewpoints with distant views over the vines and the lake. Along the way, there are always beautiful places to stop for a rest and a taste. The experience is complemented by snacks (depending on the rucksack chosen) and entertaining information via audio guide (only in German) - about viticulture, the region and what makes this landscape so special. Whether alone, as a couple or with friends: This wine hike is ideal for anyone who wants to combine enjoyment with exercise.

One backpack is designed for up to 4 people. How many backpacks you book depends entirely on how thirsty and hungry you are.

The wine tasting is for adults aged 16 and over
We recommend light trekking shoes for the hike
Own backpack recommended for additional drinks and clothing
Along the way, you'll pass the idyllic Grotto Kaliforni. There, after your wine tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste more wines from the Casanova Weinpur winery in the open vineyard. The Grotto is open on weekends and during the week for groups by request.

Note: The audio guides are not bound to the suggested route. If you prefer a different route or would like to enjoy the wine and the audio guide at the same place, this is no problem. However, we recommend that you follow the order of the audio guides.
How to get there
By public transportWe recommend traveling by public transport to Walenstadt train station. Take the B442 bus in the direction of Flums, Bahnhof to the bus stop Walenstadt, Hafen. Then walk approx. 90 meters to the Hotel Restaurant Seehof.
By car: Paid parking available at the Hotel Restaurant Seehof.

A total of 5 backpacks are available. The contents of a backpack are intended for a maximum of 4 people
