For the first time, Marianne Meier Schaffner of the Alprestaurant Babental in Schleitheim is hosting a Jass tournament.

She is supported in this by the “Alte Rebe” Jass group, made up of motivated and talented young women and men who grew up in “Schlaate,” some of whom still live here, or who have a close and cherished connection to the village of Schleitheim through friendship and sports.
The Jass group has been meeting about one to four times a week for the past year or so to play Jass together. Thanks to the support of the internet and their parents, the young Jass players now play with great finesse and full concentration. New people are constantly joining the group and learning to play Jass by watching, practicing, and with plenty of patience.
