Musée Eugène Burnand
Musée Eugène Burnand, Moudon
This space is entirely devoted to the work of the artist Eugène Burnand (1850-1921) who produced paintings (often large-scale), drawings and engravings.
This internationally renowned naturalist painter left his mark on his era with both landscape and religious works. He is also a remarkable portraitist. The "Ploughing in the Jorat", the "Gleaners", the "Peasant" or the "Priestly Prayer" are among the great frescoes that can be admired in this place. Burnand is the only painter in French-speaking Switzerland to have his own museum, and in his native town.
