Andreas Haefliger and the Orchestre de Paris on tour

In the second tour of the current season Migros Culture Percentage Classics the emphasis is on dance. Igor Stravinsky's famous composition «Le Sacre du Printemps» (The Rite of Spring), which caused great scandal at its premiere, was originally performed as a ballet. Even Debussy's symphonic poem «Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune» (Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun) was choreographed for dance when it premiered. Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 24 doesn't fit this pattern, but this profound work is no less dramatic. The Orchestre de Paris on tour is considered to be one of the best orchestras in the world. Under its chief conductor, the Estonian Paavo Järvi, it will perform in Lucerne, Bern, Zurich and Geneva from 18 to 21 November 2012. The world renowned Swiss pianist Andreas Haefliger has been recruited to join them on tour.
