The goat festival in aid of the Alpe Hannig Foundation will take place on Sunday, 27 July 2025 from 10.30 am (in case of bad weather: postponed to Sunday, 3 August) at and together with the Restaurant Alpenblick above Saas-Fee.

An unforgettable day in a beautiful mountain setting with live folk music right next to the grazing goats. The food and drink menu offers a wide selection to satisfy every appetite and thirst. Don't miss the chance to try a goat's cheese raclette or a goat's sausage on this special occasion - you won't regret your curiosity: a delicacy!

In between, the well-known goat expert Peter Baumann will present the various original Swiss goat breeds in terms of origin, labelling, milk yield etc. and show you many characteristics of these interesting, very approachable and always curious animals in a demonstration.

Special guests will be the Kandersteg alphorn players. Pure, traditionally produced goat's milk products from Alpe Hannig will be on sale at the market stall.
