The nature park Gantrisch and the Stockhorn are right next door; the Way of St. James and the route Stockental almost pass by the house; and other bike routes are in the immediate vicinity. The city of Thun (on the lake of the same name) is easily accessible by public transport. Blumenstein offers an abundance of hiking trails.
