Migros Culture Percentage decorates this year's young dance talent
Since 1969, Migros Culture Percentage has promoted young Swiss artists and bestowed various study and sponsorship awards as part of national talent competitions. The competitions are held annually in the categories of physical theatre, singing, instrumental music, acting and dancing as well as in chamber music every other year.
This year's dance competition was held in Zurich at the beginning of July. 17 candidates from classical and contemporary dance took part. Eight talented dancers convinced the international jury, which consisted of famous choreographers and dance theatre directors. They won study awards worth a total of CHF 115,200.
This year's winners included: Alexander Cyr Bezuijen, The Zurich Dance Academy; Till Brechbühl, The Zurich Dance Academy; Salome Füger, Ballettschule Theater Basel; Flavien Mingot, John Cranko Schule Stuttgart; Yuya Takahashi, The Zurich Dance Academy; Sidney Turtschi, Ballettschule Theater Basel; Victoria Vassos, Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, and Fabienne Wäger, The Zurich Dance Academy.
