In 1783, the villagers rebuilt their chapel dedicated to St Bernard de Menthon and to St Agathe. Up to that time, there was already a chapel in another part of the village and they decided to construct the new one alongside the valley road. In the past, people gathered in Beuson to bless the thread of their clothes as well as bread and salt that was given to sick livestock.
